The new eMeds wireless prescription management software developed by Edigenous Technology for the Medical Arts Pharmacy represents a significant evolution in patient care to improve the communication and management of important prescription information with the pharmacy's long term care customers. The eMeds application interfaces with the pharmacy's database systems using strict encryption and security protocols to provide an interactive electronic version of established paper based reporting products: MARs, profiles and medication reviews.

The application allows for end-user (nursing and medical staff) communication of re-orders, changes in current orders, addition of new orders and medication administration tracking in an unequivocally clear manner directly back to the pharmacy. Nursing home staff are enabled to access eMeds system information while interacting with patients throughout their facilities using mobile wireless devices such as ruggedized Tablet PC's and PDA's.
